Thriva Doubles in Size

Thriva targets new industries and projects rapid growth

SEATTLE, WA – October 24, 2005 – This June, Thriva relocated its headquarters from Spokane, Washington to Bothell, Washington –part of the greater Seattle area. Since moving to Bothell five months ago in a strategic move to have more hiring options, Thriva has doubled in number of employees, doubled last year’s revenue, and launched a new division, EventRegister, to expand into new industries.

Thriva has more than doubled its amount of office space and hired software developers, account mangers, and sales consultants. This allows for Thriva to develop new tools more quickly, offer services to new industries, grow more rapidly, and be able to support the increased number of clients with a larger account manager team.

“Moving to Seattle will play a large role in Thriva’s growth into the future,” explains co-founder Matt Ehrlichman. “We knew that we wanted to effectively double our number of employees. Seattle has such a larger hiring market with an emphasis on technology that it allows us quickly meet our growth goals.”

Thriva began as a camp software company by providing online registration and database management tools with its CampRegister brand. It quickly became apparent that this core product was useful in other industries including business events, school districts, businesses, and universities. After working with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Allied Command Transformation, the University of California, Natrona School District, the Oakland Zoo, and many other organizations including conferences and conventions, Thriva decided to launch EventRegister which is focused on customers outside of the camp industry.

Thriva’s CampRegister, the leading camp technology product, has been experiencing rapid growth since the relocation. CampRegister has averaged more than 1 new customer joining for every day in September. This trend has continued through the end of October and is expected to continue through the rest of the sales season.
