Creating and accessing direct links
A direct link will send a registrant directly to the registration form of a particular category or program without having to select from a list. Once placed, these links will bypass the steps of the drill down to take you to the information portion of the registration form directly after the login. This can be useful for those that need to provide direct access to programs or categories without having to create multiple new forms.
Caution: Direct Links do not work in conjunction with Queued Links or Waitlists. If you are using a Queued Link (also called a High Volume Link) or if you are using Waitlists, please contact technical support before using direct links in order to prevent potential issues or complications.
To create direct links, please follow the steps below.
| 1. | Go to Settings >>Form Builder. |
| 2. | Select your form from “Select form” drop down list. |
| 3. | Click step “5. Publish!” under “Select a Step” |
| 4. | Click “Generate Links” under “Generate Direct Links for this Form” section toward bottom |
| 5. | A new excel window with links for all criteria and program will be opened (if the window does not open, try it again while holding down to Ctrl button to temporarily disable your pop-up blocker). The header of each step will indicate your location in the form flow. Copy the desired link to your web page. |
Note: As always with posting a link, be sure to copy the link as listed in the Excel spreadsheet and not the activated link that appears in the browser address bar after the link has been clicked.
