There are two types of Mass Billing:
1) Based on a Question on a form
2) Integrated into the Payment Module.
Please make sure to choose the appropriate method below before completing the steps. If you are unsure which method you are using, please submit a support request.
Mass Billing based on Question
| 1. | Load a filter of the Participants/Accounts you would like to mass-bill. |
--(ex. If you have multiple billing dates depending on the date of the programs, you will want to filter to only the people who are registered in the specific programs you are billing for)
| 2. | IMPORTANT: If you made auto-billing an optional service that your registrants had the ability to opt-in or opt-out of during registration, then be sure to first load a Saved Filter that includes only those who checked the “Auto-Bill” box on their registration form. For questions or further instructions on this, click here to learn how to build this filter. If you have made auto-billing mandatory, then you can disregard this step. |
| 3. | Go to Tools >> Mass Updates >> Payment Processing. |
| 4. | Under the Display drop down, select "Each Record: Registration." This will ensure that you are billing the specific Registration balances. |

| 5. | Select the billing method from the drop down (Most common is ‘Preference to Most Recent Payment Method on File’). |
| 6. | Click ‘Generate’. This will create the list of Accounts/Participants/Registrations along with the associated balances for you to bill. |
| 7. | Type in the email address you’d like to use to receive a notification that the billing was complete. |
| 8. | Check the checkbox to the left of all the individuals you wish to bill (to Select All – click the checkbox in the column header). NOTE: Grayed out records are those that have electronically processed a payment and therefore do not have a card or checking account on file. |

| 9. | If you need to deselect a specific registrant, you can uncheck the box to the left of their name. You can also change the amount of the mass-billing to be less than the full balance by updating the '$$ to Charge'. |
| 10. | Hit ‘Authorize’ – Your mass-billing will go to Thriva’s pending request manager for review and the selected individuals will be billed within 1 business day. A confirmation email containing a report of the charges will be sent to the email you specified. |
| 11. | If you realize you billed someone you shouldn't have, contact the Support Team ASAP. |
